I believe Oklahoma City needs a new nickname or a cool sounding name I don’t believe Oklahoma City sounds cool.
Tahoe Tulsa Santa Fe Jacksonhole Dallas Chicago the big apple Vegas
When I was a kid growing up and maybe they still do when we talk to people that live out in the country or even in a smaller town east or west of here they would refer to Oklahoma City by saying I have to run into “the city”.
It was common knowledge what city they were talking about.
I’m sharing this information so hopefully somebody out there will take this idea present it to the public and to our state and see if we can come up with a cool name like Tulsa or a neat nickname like “The City”. Hopefully the mayor will pick up on it and start advertising for the city of Oklahoma City
“The City”. Sounds great to me maybe you can use your power of the pin to throw it out there and see if we can get something happening I know there’s a lot of smart creative intelligent people in our state I just don’t think the name Oklahoma City sounds catchy enough I love to go to Dallas but to go to Fort Worth?
