Sooners need to find IT
Saturday proved the difficulty of what remains to be played, the need for Oklahoma to find something quickly, lest it begin from behind in future seasons
Here’s irony for you.
It took not having a game to underline just how immense the rest of Oklahoma’s football season now appears to be.
Because it’s not all about recruiting, the transfer portal and talent level, and it’s not all about schemes, development and doing things “the right way.”
It’s about all of that and more, the “and more” an impossible-to-quantify intangible without which, though those other things may put you in the ring, you’ll never walk out of it holding the belt.
You may know it when you see it, or you may not, for around here, Barry Switzer made recognition more difficult.
