The Sam Landry question

Gasso needs to develop another arm she can trust, but can't risk losing super-regional hosting duties. It's a lot to consider.

Patty Gasso has faced conundrum’s before, but this one has to be particularly vexing.

To be sure, she has to get the Sooner bats going again.

Though Oklahoma’s hitting .330 as a team, getting on base at a .455 clip and slugging .630, it’s not remotely doing that against SEC opponents, against whom the numbers are .250/.367/.487.

Not to mention, the Sooners have scored three or fewer runs in five of their last nine conference games and three times scored only one.

So there’s that.

But it’s not her most vexing question.

That one involves Sam Landry, OU’s clear ace

Landry, herself, is not vexing.

Yet, how to use her must be because how she’s been used lately is not like Gasso at all.
