In a tough league, Sooners still not ready to win
The verdict is in.
Against good teams, in the Big 12 Conference, coach Porter Moser’s Oklahoma men are not ready to win.
They could win.
They might win.
They’re certainly good enough to win.
But they’re not ready to win.
Let us count the ways following seventh-ranked OU’s 85-84 Saturday afternoon Lloyd Noble Center setback to 20th-ranked Texas Tech.
Can’t hit free throws.
Can’t get any kind of game from their alleged best player.
Can’t hit a bunny layup when it must be made.
Can’t get back defensively when it must be done.
Can’t get off to a good start (again).
Check.
Check.
Check.
Check.
And check.
Moser added a few of his own.
One of them? Can’t listen.
