Hey, we're really doing this thing
As mentioned, and as I’ve posted here a couple of times already, Ryan Welton and I are doing a podcast together and now it has a name: The Long View.
Perhaps it will become The Long View with Ryan and Clay, The Long View with Clay and Ryan and maybe if we get that far we’ll add our last names as though we take ourselves seriously, which we surely don’t.
Our baseline is Sooner sports, but not all we do is Sooner sports.
Tangents, on any and all things, are expected and encouraged.
It’s The Long View because we’ve both had long careers in media, me mostly in sports and Ryan mostly in news, and we know what we know because we’ve been watching it happen forever and that knowledge makes us pretty smart about what we’re seeing now, too, and we’re pretty good at explaining it.
About that, we might occasionally work in a little media criticism, too.
Whatever it is, it’s a good time and you’re invited.
