Riley had worn out his welcome at OU. The regents were upset with his mysterious business during the second half of last season. He may have left to avoid being caught out in his SC lies and fired. Regardless, he's a frontrunner who folds when it gets tough. His comments last week about "anyone who cares about college football" in reference to the NIL rule should bring nothing but mockery of his own role in the ruination of college athletics. He is a hypocrite and a liar, and we OU stalwarts are better off for being rid of him. Let him choke on the $$$.

He must really feel ashamed of the way he shit on a place that lifted him up to glory. All of his efforts to make us believe it was simple and fast and also understandable. Just more lies, and as you say, the idea that he wasn’t such a great coach after all, becomes bigger every day.
